Lia Kang joined MTSA LAW GROUP LLP as an associate attorney in June 2026.
Ms. Kang’s academic and professional foundation began in Taiwan, where she obtained her undergraduate law degree and a Master of Laws from National Taiwan University, followed by admission to the Taiwan Bar in 2017. She practiced law in Taiwan for a couple of years, focusing primarily on employment law matters. After moving to California, Ms. Kang attended UCLA School of Law to earn a second Master of Laws degree, ultimately passing the California Bar in 2024.
Ms. Kang’s prior U.S. experience includes clerkships at various general practice firms and, most recently, working at a family law firm where she also assisted Mandarin-speaking clients through some of life’s most challenging transitions. Her fluency in Mandarin and Taiwanese, combined with her ability to read Chinese, allows her to provide comprehensive, culturally nuanced legal counsel to a diverse clientele.
Outside of the office, Ms. Kang enjoys camping, hiking, and snowboarding. She also loves playing badminton and cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends.
