Maya Galicia-Canto

Associate Attorney

Ms. Galicia-Canto joined Morgan Tidalgo Sukhodrev & Azzolino LLP in October of 2025 and has been practicing family law since 2021. Prior to joining MTSA, Ms. Galicia-Canto primarily practiced in Los Angeles County. She has experience with complex family law issues such as custody cases involving more than two parents of a child, multi-million dollar asset division, and international service. She has also litigated high conflict child custody and visitation cases, cases with complex calculations of property interests, child support, and spousal support, and matters  involving domestic violence.

Ms. Galicia-Canto graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State University, where she received her degree in English Literature with a Minor in Art, and graduate cum laude from the University of California, San Francisco College of the Law (formerly University of California, Hastings College of the Law). Prior to attending law school, Ms. Galicia-Canto worked in Self-Help Centers in San Francisco and Long Beach, California where she created and ran workshops on divorce, child custody, visitation, and international service. While attending law school, Ms. Galicia-Canto was an extern with the San Francisco Superior Court Unified Family Court, assisted with family law matters at a legal non-profit operating in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, and prepared domestic violence restraining orders at a non-profit clinic in Los Angeles.

Ms. Galicia-Canto has also had articles featured by legal publications such as the Domestic Violence Report, which is the leading professional report devoted exclusively to innovative programs, legal developments, and current services and research in domestic violence law and prevention, as well as the California Lawyer’s Association Family Law News.
