Megan Berman

San Jose, California

Megan concentrates her practice on all aspects of family law, including dissolution, legal separation, property characterization, business valuation, stock option apportionment, spousal and child support, and child custody disputes. Her experience spans all phases of litigation, including mediation, settlement negotiations, and litigation before private and public judges.

Megan began her career in complex commercial litigation, defending large corporations against class actions, product liability claims, and mass torts. Prior to joining MTSA, Megan practiced for six years with two international law firms, representing automobile manufacturers and distributors, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and insurance companies. Her vast knowledge of discovery disputes and the complexities of major civil litigation have served her well in the family law practice.

Megan graduated from Dartmouth College and received her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School, where she served as Editor in Chief for the Journal of College and University Law. Prior to practicing law, she spent a year volunteering in an adoption agency in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In her spare time, she volunteers with foster youth and enjoys watching college football.
