Chau Truong joined MTSA in 2018. Prior to joining MTSA, she worked at a law firm in Santa Clara, where she practiced family law and criminal defense. Chau now works exclusively as a family law attorney.

Chau earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and certificate in Social Problems and Public Policy in 2009 from the University of California, Irvine. She graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2014. During law school, she served on the executive board of the Vietnamese American Law Society, as a Senior Articles Editor on the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal, and as a staff editor on the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly. At graduation, she was recognized for her outstanding achievement in pro bono, from her dedication of over 150 hours toward pro bono services, providing access to justice for those in need. Through her work experience, she gained extensive experience working with individuals going through difficult times. She brings this experience to her family law practice, where she guides individuals through difficult issues such as divorce, restraining orders, and custody disputes.

Chau interned at numerous public defender offices in San Francisco, Alameda, Los Angeles, and Orange County. She externed for the Honorable Nathan D. Mihara of the Sixth District Court of Appeal in Santa Clara and the Honorable Judge Rise Pichon of the Superior Court of California.

In her free time, she likes to cook, eat, travel, spend time in the sun, and play with her dogs, Eevee and Albus (like Dumbledore).
